Our stated mission:

To promote, preserve and celebrate the multi-cultural aspects of India and to foster cultural exchange between people of India and Southeastern North Carolina. In addition we serve as the focal point for advancing the education and charitable interests of the Indian community.

In order to celebrate our rich heritage and foster cultural exchange:

CFCAI volunteers have been an active participant in the Azalea Festival for more than 15 years. We have had youth and adult artists performing traditional Indian dances on the International Stage. In addition, we have been involved in the Azalea Festival parade representing India.

We have been actively involved in the Brunswick Cultural Festival for more than seven years. We donate traditional home cooked food to the International Booth of the Brunswick Cultural Festival annually so attendees can sample Indian delicacies. In both of these regional festivals CFCAI serves the Indian community settled in this region by preserving and celebrating India’s heritage.

Simultaneously CFCAI’s participation in these events serves all people in Southeastern NC who attend these festivals by fostering cultural exchange. In addition to several community events throughout the year, the Diwali Celebration has been CFCAI’s premier annual event for more than 20 years. There has been a gradual increase in the scale and participation of these events.
